Korandil is used alone or together with other medicines to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). High blood pressure adds to the workload of the heart and arteries. If it continues for a long time, the heart and arteries may not function properly. This can damage the blood vessels of the brain, heart, and kidneys, resulting in a stroke, heart failure, or kidney failure. Lowering blood pressure can reduce the risk of strokes and heart attacks. Korandil is an angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor. It works by blocking a substance in the body that causes the blood vessels to tighten. As a result, Korandil relaxes the blood vessels. This lowers blood pressure and increases the supply of blood and oxygen to the heart. Korandil is also used in combination with other medicines to treat congestive heart failure and cut down on the number of hospital visits for heart problems. Korandil is available only with your doctor's prescription.

If you are allergic to Korandil 5 Tablet 10's or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. Avoid taking Korandil 5 Tablet 10's if you have hypotension (severe low blood pressure), low blood volume, pulmonary oedema (accumulation of fluid in the lungs) or any heart problems. Do not take Korandil 5 Tablet 10's if you are pregnant or breastfeeding and consult a doctor. Korandil 5 Tablet 10's is not recommended for children as the safety and effectiveness were not established. Drive only if you are alert as Korandil 5 Tablet 10's may cause dizziness or weakness. Avoid alcohol consumption with Korandil 5 Tablet 10's as it may cause severely low blood pressure. Avoid taking vardenafil, sildenafil, tadalafil and riociguat with Korandil 5 Tablet 10's as it may affect blood pressure. If you notice in blood in stools while taking Korandil 5 Tablet 10's, inform your doctor immediately as it may be due to ulcers in the stomach, intestines or back passage.
