Description:

Tozaar 50mg Tablet belongs to the therapeutic classification of Angiotensin II Receptor Blockers. The primary composition for this medicine is Losartan 50 MG.

Uses / Indications:

Tozaar 50 Tablet is used for the treatment, control, prevention, & improvement of the following diseases, conditions and symptoms: High blood pressure Kidney disease in high blood pressure patients Kidney disease in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients Chronic heart failure Stroke in heart disorder patients Stroke in high blood pressure patients

Interactions / Warnings:

If you have diabetes, kidney or liver problems, please inform your doctor before taking Tozaar-50 Tablet 10's. Tozaar-50 Tablet 10's is not recommended for pregnant women especially in second and third trimesters as it may cause serious harm to the unborn baby (fetus). Therefore, pregnant or breastfeeding women are advised to consult a doctor before taking Tozaar-50 Tablet 10's. Do not consume alcohol with Tozaar-50 Tablet 10's as it may increase the risk of low blood pressure. Avoid potassium supplements with Tozaar-50 Tablet 10's as it may lead to high potassium levels in blood. Regular blood tests and blood pressure monitoring are recommended while taking Tozaar-50 Tablet 10's.

Side Effects:

Feeling dizzy. Rise slowly over a few minutes when sitting or lying down. Be careful climbing. High potassium level. Signs include feeling weak, lightheaded, dizzy, feel like passing out, or have numbness or tingling. Loose stools (diarrhea). Cough. Kidney function that gets worse.

Medicine interaction:

If you use other drugs or over the counter products at the same time, the effects of Tozaar 50 Tablet may change. This may increase your risk for side-effects or cause your drug not to work properly. Tell your doctor about all the drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements you are using, so that you doctor can help you prevent or manage drug interactions. Tozaar 50 Tablet may interact with the following drugs and products: Amiloride Aspirin Indomethacin NSAIDs Naproxen Spironolactone Triamterene
