Fempro is used to treat certain types of breast cancer in women who have already stopped menstruating (postmenopausal). It is also used for women who have already had other cancer treatments (e.g. tamoxifen). Female hormones that occur naturally in the body can increase the growth of some breast cancers. Fempro works by decreasing the amounts of these hormones in the body. Fempro is available only with your doctor's prescription. Once a medicine has been approved for marketing for a certain use, experience may show that it is also useful for other medical problems. Although these uses are not included in product labeling, Fempro is used in certain patients with the following medical conditions: Breast cancer that is hormone receptor-positive in women who have already gone through menopause (treatment before surgery).

Do not take Fempro Tablet 10's if you are allergic to any of its contents, not yet gone through menopause (still get your periods). To treat you condition effectually continue taking Fempro Tablet 10's for as long as your doctor has prescribed. Do not stop Fempro Tablet 10's midway. Talk to your doctor before taking Fempro Tablet 10's if you have osteoporosis (thinning of bones), bone fractures, severe liver or kidney disease. Fempro Tablet 10's may cause inflammation in tendons or tendon injury; contact your doctor if you observe any sign of tendon pain or swelling while taking Fempro Tablet 10's. Avoid taking Fempro Tablet 10's if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Fempro Tablet 10's causes drowsiness and dizziness, so drive only if you are alert. Fempro Tablet 10's should not be given to children as the safety has not been established. Avoid consuming alcohol along with Fempro Tablet 10's as it could lead to increased drowsiness and dizziness. Inform your doctor about your health condition and medications before taking Fempro Tablet 10's to rule out any side-effects.
