A dopamine D2-receptor antagonist. It has been used therapeutically as an antidepressant, antipsychotic, and as a digestive aid.

Do not take Mac Plus Capsule 10's if you are allergic to any of its contents, have a gastrointestinal hemorrhage, epilepsy, mania, porphyria or cardiac impairment. Inform your doctor before taking Mac Plus Capsule 10's if you have stomach pain, indigestion, vomiting food or blood, or if you pass black stools, have severe liver or kidney problems, if you are due to have Chromogranin A test. Do not take Mac Plus Capsule 10's if you are pregnant or breastfeeding unless prescribed by the doctor. Mac Plus Capsule 10's should not be given to children as safety have not been established. On long-term treatment, Mac Plus Capsule 10's may cause low magnesium levels, vitamin B12 levels and increase the risk of bone fractures; the doctor may advise regular tests for monitoring your condition. Mac Plus Capsule 10's may cause dizziness and drowsiness, so drive only if you are alert. Avoid consuming alcohol along with Mac Plus Capsule 10's as it could lead to increased drowsiness and can elevate the production of stomach acid.
